    I played 8/6 4/3*.
    Unfortunately, XG doesn't set QF problems.
    I haven't done a rollout though.
    Maybe it wasn't the worst checker play in history.

    There is a fairly short list of reasons for a banana split.
    You might need a tempo desperately (but that's not the case
    here---O has no big attacking or priming threat, nor does she have
    blots to pick up). It might be the only way to prevent O from
    running the last checker and locking up the game (again, not
    the case here because O is far behind in the race, and running
    her back checker hardly wins the game for her).

    Trying to keep a blitz going is not usually enough to justify
    a banana split.
