    My play of 6/3 6/2 didn't seem so horrific to me.
    I was only trying to cover my blot.
    Why is the play criminal?

    What are you trying to accomplish here? Do you think you'll potentially be attacking/hitting a blot any time in the near future?

    As Stick said, you're just trying to bring your checkers home
    without offering unnecessary shots, so covering your blot is
    not a priority. But as for why XG says 6/3 6/2 is a triple
    whopper rather than just a run-of-the-mill blunder, the problem
    is that it eliminates valuable spares. How are you going to
    play 3's and 4's, especially 63 53 31 54? By playing 13/6, you
    create a useful spare instead of burning two of them.
