I see this as a pass (and not TG) but it's horrendously complicated,
and I'm not providing any attempts at analysis.
How surprised would I be to be wrong? About as surprised as I'd be to
see Man City draw 1-1 with Chelsea.

I agree with Paul that accurate analysis of this type of position
OTB is extremely difficult. One thing I look for, when contemplating
doubling from the bar, is whether I have trapped one or more of my
opponent's checkers behind a solid five-prime. On its own, that is
not a decisive consideration, but I've found that it's often a sign that
I should at least be seriously thinking about doubling. Another thing
of course is whether I'm threatening to hit a checker. In this position
I have a double shot from the bar.
On the other hand, I have two checkers on the bar, and if I dance,
the game could turn around in the blink of an eye, and I could get
gammoned myself.
According to the rollout, this is a clear ND/T. That surprised me,
since I thought the double was clear. Part of what I failed to think
about OTB was that if enter with one checker on the 2pt, hitting,
that often does *not* lose my market. For example, if O enters
and covers her 5pt, she can generally take. So there are fewer
market losers than I expected, and of course if X rolls poorly then
he will deeply regret doubling.

A hit is a market loser and I count 13. A dance is almost as good as
long as O doesn't roll a joker like 66, 63, or 61. So, O'Hagen's law
says ship it.
16 dancing numbers for Xx and over 20 covers for O says take.

I thought this was a pass. O has two checkers behind X's five-prime,
and is already crunching her board. Even if she doesn't get hit right
away, there's a good chance that her forward position will continue to deteriorate.
However, XG says it's a clear take. Evidently, O's position has more resilience than I gave it credit for. For example, there's a decent
chance that I will dance several times against her four- or five-point
board while she escapes with sixes. Or even if I come in, I could get
hit again. At the moment, O's board is still rather strong and she does
have a significant lead in the pip count, which are assets that I
undervalued.

Easy take, not sure about the double.
The sequences where we dance and the opponent springs a 6 are very good for the opponent, who
would then be targeting a blot.
I think that if the opponent doesn't roll a 6, we can lose our market even if we dance.
D/T. I'm not sure. And I think it's a great problem.
My second choice might be ND/T but D/P wouldn't amaze me.
TG/P and TG/T (possible in a match) are the only ones I would rule out.
Because D/P wouldn't amaze me, and I'm a fairly good player by normal standards,
your mantra "double because they might pass even though it's ND/T" might make sense
_in this particular position_ but I wouldn't apply it so universally as you do.
When I say D/T, I'm saying it because that's my verdict about optimal theoretical play.
I don't know though.

I'm not sure O can take this. Certainly if X dances and O rolls
an immediate 6 then X is in trouble. But if O doesn't roll a 6
soon then her position is going to deteriorate rapidly. Though
both players have five-point boards, X's board is a much bigger
threat; if, in the ensuing play, X gets hit, it's bad but maybe
not fatal because of O's open 4pt, but if O gets hit then she's
in really big trouble. I'm going to go with D/P.

This one is all about timing. X is stuck on the bar, O is stuck behind a
solid five prime. X needs a four, O needs a six, and since neither are probable, this situation can go on for several rolls, which it did otb.
As long as both players are stuck, X's position remains static, while
O's position deteriorates with each sequence. So, the question is how
far to let it deteriorate before shipping the cube?
This position is when the cube became ripe. X still has about 35% GWC
but X has enough market losers to ship it.
The variants below are the previous cube decision (which was ND) and the
next two. You can see it go from ND to D/T to D/P. I waited until it
was D/P and missed three cubes, although this first one was not too costly.
Note that if O leaps and X dances (twice) it's a cash for O.

O has just rolled an anti-joker, but I was surprised that the XG
rollout indicated a monster pass. O still has a four-point board,
and X is on the bar with 4 checkers back, not to mention a blot in
the outfield. But even with a favorable exchange---say X dances
and O rolls 62---XG says that O is barely an equity favorite (and
then only because of cube ownership).

Five primes are very strong when the checker is not at the edge. If X
rolls a deuce, O is in real trouble and it looks like the market is
lost. If not, unless O rolls a six soon her board will deteriorate (and
sixes are duped), so I'm not seeing any really bad sequences. 11 market
losers is two more than O'Hagen requires, so ship it.
And I think O has to take. D/T.

I got spooked into passing here as O, fearing that even if I weren't
hit, I could easily collapse while waiting to spring my back checker
that is not at the edge of the prime. But XG says it's an easy take.
See the variant to get a sense of what is required to get XG to pass.

Doubling with two on the bar is a rare occurrence, but O's position
is obviously terrible here. According to XG, it's a huge pass, which
I found surprising. Some judgment is needed to assess just how bad
O's board is (see variant).

I badly misjudged this position and took this cube. But O has too
many vulnerable blots, and loses a ton of gammons.
