• Too good at post-Crawford

From Timothy Chow@21:1/5 to All on Wed Dec 22 09:04:40 2021
Out of curiosity, I ran a 46656-trial XG rollout to see how
often the trailer would win an undoubled gammon at 2-away
post-Crawford after opening with 8/5 6/5 and getting a response
of 24/18 13/10. The answer was about 4.5%, which was higher
    than I expected.

I once asked on BGOnline whether anyone had experienced that
sort of thing in a real tournament, and Bob Koca said that he
once won a match that way. It must happen more often at lower
levels, when the trailer simply forgets to double.

Yeah, there's some guy active on rgb who often asserts that people cash too often,
and don't assess positions as TG often enough.

I can't remember his name though. His last name ends in "stein", I think.
