    Didn't matter for many years, a decade plus before and the first decade
    or more after I started posting them. My theory is that the increasing
    role of the 3, and the variability it introduces, has rendered coaching
    and effort adjustment less important than they used to be, but who
    knows. This era has broken a ton of NBA tech, that much is for sure.

    I don't judge it by final margin (definitely don't include all double
    digit losses as blowouts, or even require that them be a DD loss - it's
    about game flow), and it doesn't just include blowouts, but there is a
    decent amount of overlap to what you are talking about
