• McDonalds and Bill Blab

I'm don't know the full story, but I'm seeing something trending about a Big Mac and $18.

At least a year ago, big mouth Bill Blab was going on about how cheap Big Macs were and how the price had not changed, essentially inflation is not a problem. Now what does he have to say about it?

And you know that whatever he does have to say about it, whenever he says it, Retard Jerry will be right there behind him agreeing with him and sucking his cock.

Speaking of fast food places, I have a bone to pick with you west coasters about In-n-Out Burger.

My girlfriend and I went to the PowerTrip concert for my birthday during the weekend of October 7 (mainly to see AC/DC, my all-time favorite band from my youth), at Indio, CA (it's outside of Palm Springs and where they have the Coachella music festival). We decided to eat at In-n-Out one day to see
what all the hubbub was about.

The parking lot was full and the restaurant was full. It was crazy, and
this was at like 3 in the afternoon. We figured it must be amazing. When
the food came and we ate some of it, we both looked at each other like, what the fuck is this? Fries were dry and tasteless and the burgers were OK, but very thin and hardly any flavor. I kept looking around like everyone was playing a joke on us acting like it was so good.

To be fair, I think the same thing about Chick-Fil-A which is what we have
here in OKC. It's the same thing here, massive lines all the time and raves about how good it is. I ate there and thought it's just fast food chicken,
and the Hardee's chicken sandwich I used to eat back in the day was much better.

Anyhoo, fast food of any type is just shitty food. Do not believe the hype.

Same for Costco. I've had to listen to West coasters for years about how
great Costco is and how it's better than Sam's, blah blah blah.

Sam Walton invented that store concept. We've obviously had Sam's here in
OKC for years (Walton was born in Kingfisher, OK, which is about 45 minute south of me), and a few years ago they built a Costco a few miles down the road. My g/f is from Seattle and she was stoked about it, went on and on
    about how great it is.

I finally go into Costco and it's literally the same store as Sam's, with literally the same layout. The only difference is that they call their 5 gallon Ketchup brand something and Sam's calls its version by a different
    name. It's the same thing.

So, fuckabuncha In-n-Out Burgers, Chick-Fil-A and Costco. So there.

    .

Heh. Sorry 'bout your bad 'western' experience. I'm surprised you got a bad In-n-Out. I don't know what makes them so good, but we love 'em. Like you say, the meat's not as thick as other burger places (which is why we always order the Double Burger),
but it appears it's the freshness. They do not put meat on the grill till it's ordered. And French fries are always fresh. Somehow, so's the Lettice and buns. Keeps us coming back.

    I don't do Chick-fil-A.

Costco is a bulk seller. No fancy displays, you buy off the pallet, and everything is King Size. They also sell overstock from other sellers. And the Purchaser selects the most popular of a line and buys only that. They sure gott'a good business plan. We
don't do Sam's. (I think it's for some old political reason...)

I don't eat much meat, but I like In-n-Out once in awhile. I had a great petit filet at a casino the other night, rarely eat steak but it was really good.

I've spent much of my life in Indio and the Palm Springs - Palm Desert area. It was once where the rich and famous retire to, a lot of money in Palm Springs, La Quinta. But they're hurting there now and you can see the economy faultering. Malls,
stores, restaurants, struggling to stay open. There was a restaurant row from Palm Springs to Rancho Mirage, Cathedral City, great restaurants for years and years, many have closed. We're in real trouble.

And now that you’ve told your horseshit version of what happened, we should probably do the right thing and follow up with the truth.

Back in early 2021, more than two and a half years ago, we were celebrating at least twenty years of you predicting hyperinflation, wheelbarrows of money to buy a loaf of bread, etc., etc. At that time you specifically predicted that the dollar would “
go to zero” by January 1, 2022.

I, not being a fucking idiot like you, and actually knowing a thing or two about economics, immediately recognized your prediction for the complete and total stupidity it was. Inspired by The Economist’s famous “Big Mac Index” which uses the Big
Mac as a fungible to measure overvalued and undervalued currencies around the world, I documented the price of a standard Big Mac in Los Angeles at $6.19. I did not say that was cheap, because I don’t consider foods that destroy your health over time
as “cheap” at any price, even free.

I seem to recall giving you a large margin of error on your prediction that the dollar would “go to zero” and instead made it worth a whopping two cents, meaning that under your prediction the price of a Big Mac should have been between $310 and
    infinity by early 2022.

I just checked, and tonight, more than two and a half years after your moronic prediction, a Big Mac can be had in Century City (an upscale part of L.A.) for $6.99.

And please don’t get me wrong. I am not trying to minimize in any way the impact that 2.5 year 80 cent price increase might have on someone in your financial position. I am merely pointing out that a 5% per annum price increase is a FAR cry from your
    Chicken Little narrative.

    Hope this helps.

A Big Mac in L.A. has gone from $6.19 in March, 2021 to $6.99 on October 31, 2023. That is a documented FACT. That is about a 5% per year increase.

How many decades in a row do you have to be wrong to finally admit to yourself that you have not the first fucking clue what you are talking about?

Just wondering, did the 80 cent increase in the price of Big Macs over the last two and a half years have a major impact on your life? It apparently rocked Popinjay’s world to the core.
