I appreciate that Paul. I think this group was always at it's best when it was treated like a $3-6 limit poker game where nobody was stressed and everyone could bring up a topic and we see where the conversation goes. Back in NorCal in the small

The silver institute always puts out the numbers. But, there is great reason to believe the industrial silver used to keep increasing quickly as China starts double siding their solar panels and the new designs will need pure silver and none some alloy

Yes, I am aware of the premiums on Constitutional Silver, that's why I stopped acquiring. But what I am getting now are dimes when the seller does not know what they're doing. Maybe they will sell at an odd time of day, or they may not be well known,
anyway, I put my bid in at a low enough amount and if I don't win the bid then I don't lose anything. And I also escape sales tax and get free shipping when I can. If the stars don't line up, I don't buy.

Literally nobody has an advantage in these tournaments except a few celebrities who are allowed to get away with abusing and intimidating their opponents like Phil Hellmuth. The latitude they are given is grotesque. Otherwise, factoring in the travel,
the rake, tip, taxes, and your time and tournaments are outright stupid. Plus, how are they any fun? Sitting there for too many hours and fighting over the bathrooms with shit food options during breaks, plus, you practically need a shrink after
putting up with all the amateur dealers making mistakes, plus, the floors all suck. I dunno why so many people like to elevate some of the floors/directors except it must be out of familiarity. And, the cash games suck...hell, they suck before you
even get to sit down with the floors trying to get you to bribe your way into seats with their phantom boards.

Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play? I enjoy tournaments. They are entertaining, but if I'm spending 10K on entertainment I expect there to be hookers and blow involved... actually, a nice vacation is more my style.
Side note: I always considered Helmuth a clown, which he is, but I saw him face to face IRL at the GN back in the PAD days. He's a pretty big dude. I reconsidered. Clownish on TV, but I could see how his abuse might intimidate and effect some players.

Ya, a lot of people seem to love tourneys. I prefer to be able to show up when I want and quit when I want. Proper poker playing hours is 10PM-5AM.

I like playing online tournaments. The room is really comfortable, the bathroom is spotless,
the food is great and the commute is a piece of cake.

I like playing online tournaments. The room is really comfortable, the bathroom is spotless,

Well, that's my theory about going to the movies these days, but online poker has it's own problems. Sometimes I just tell myself it's better to look back having enjoyed the good days of vegas and poker rather than try to keep repeating the experience
these days when the conditions are so much worse. And, besides, having kids is expensive and keeps you mentally occupied. And, when they become adults, they get even more expensive.
