Are you sure about that? Seems kind of early to predict
    pumpkin futures.

Pumpkinflation? I haven't heard about it. Illinois grows a lot of freakin' pumpkins. Despite of some rain yesterday it has been very dry to drought in this part of the state. Not necessarily the rest of the state.

They grow a lot of peaches North of Sacramento and my grandpa used to buy a case of peaches from the orchards any time he passed through. He started getting pretty angry as the peaches grew ever larger saying that they were intentionally overwatering
them to fatten them up and it was diluting the taste. Perhaps, it works differently with citrus. At my own house, I have numerous types of fruit bearing trees including various hybrids. Oddly enough on the side yard I have an established lemon tree I don'
t even water and it produces boatloads of the biggest lemons I've ever seen.

Some of our white flesh peaches in Fresno area are like Heaven. Omg, they are so good.

Do you know to put peaches in a brown paper sack, the natural ethylene gas ripens them? I'm sure you must know.

Hell, my grandpa knew that 40 years ago lol....that was back when you could get brown paper sacks. lol. But these huge ass peaches would be fully ripe and still lack the taste of the smaller peaches.
