    What you are saying is analogous to saying, "In Canada you can go to jail for using a phone." Well, ya, you can, if you use one to harass someone to the level of criminal harassment. But the statement is wildly and deliberately misleading. Like I said,

    I would say that in US states with hate crime laws, they could be invoked if you randomly beat a transgender women while screaming "YOU ARE A HE! YOU ARE A HE!" Does that mean you can go to prison in the US for misgendering someone?
