Should Israel ignore the occasional bomb lobbed from the "occupied" territories? We were in Israel last year for their National Holiday
(like our 4th of July) ... our ship could not stop near Jerusalem and
had to stay two nights in the north because of serious Palestinian
threats. I do not know the "answer" to the Palestinian Problem ... but
I do remember the "solution" inflicted upon the jewish population not
that long ago. And I remember at least two "wars" inflicted after they
were "given" their ancestral home back ... a difficult situation, of
course ... does anyone have an easy answer/solution?

~ Should Israel ignore the occasional bomb lobbed from the "occupied"
    territories?

For you, it is never correct to describe Palestine as occupied? Is it that easy to erase an entire people and the land they 'occupied' for a thousand years?

~ We were in Israel last year for their National Holiday

Two whole nights? Doesn't seem fair. The Palestinians have only had to live under military occupation for almost 75 and 55 years. They have lived under a totalitarian military regime that prohibits free movement, precludes their children's education,
demolishes their homes to force them out, restricts their dietary intake (Israelis think it's funny to refer to that as 'putting them on a diet', detain Palestinian women at Israeli checkpoints for hours when they're trying to get to a hospital to give
birth. Descriptions of the brutality and hatefulness could go on for hours. You should be ashamed of yourself when you say things like that.

The easy answer was to not brutally seize a people's territory and 'give' it to an invented country which was populated by 'new' people who were imported from Europe.

So you're good at remembering some 'solutions' but not 'others'? The Jews were victimized by our German cousins so let's victimize the Palestinians for the benefit of the Jews? That's the solution you're trying to put lipstick on.

'Ohh, it's so complicated! We can't do anything.' Except help Israel keep the victimization operating at full steam.

For me, it is difficult to discuss this with you. War is hell and wars
of the past have determined the territories of the now. You seem to be expressing the idea that Israel should be cancelled and the Palestinians
should be returned NOW to their country.

Rome once was the "owner" of what is now Israel ... the Jews lived there
for quite a while. I personally think that your idea (if it is your
idea) that Jews should not live there is ... well ... it does sound anti-semitic. I hope that is not true. Please correct me if I am misunderstanding your opinion of what should be the borders of where.

I am unaware of what you speak. I do not know what things you are
thinking that I have said that I should be ashamed of saying. I do NOT
think Israelis should do anything BAD to Palestinians ... do you think
the Palestinians should be "given" Israel? Just the ones in the
occupied territory or can they come from other places?

~ I do not know the "answer" to the Palestinian Problem ... but

We cannot undo what has been done. You avoid comment on what you
believe should be done NOW. You avoided any comment on the two wars ...
the Jews won both of them. Are you in favor of another?

So you're good at remembering some 'solutions' but not 'others'? The Jews were victimized by our German cousins so let's victimize the Palestinians for the benefit of the Jews? That's the solution you're trying to put lipstick on.

I did not do anything. It was done after WWII ... what do you recommend
    now?

'Ohh, it's so complicated! We can't do anything.' Except help Israel keep the victimization operating at full steam.

Still no suggestion. I admit it is a sad situation. Maybe if Egypt
would have them, all the folks in the occupied territories would have a
new home. Egypt tried before to effect something ... but it did not go
as planned. Should they try again? Should the USA support such an
    invasion?
