    Further, it was recognized in the mid-1800s that CO2 was a greenhouse gas and that man's industrial activities could eventually lead to widespread Earth warning. Remarkably, a ridiculously large percentage of 21st century right-wingers have proudly
    demonstrated that they have not yet caught up early-1800s scientific knowledge.

    I read one of the papers from the late 1800's on the subject. Many of those right-wingers (and extreme left-wingers) have not caught up with 17th century science.
