Anyone got experience playing RPGs with kids? What do you think is the earliest time this might work?
I assume they would need much short sessions than we did when we were teenagers?
I started with my kids about age eight. Rules-light role-playing in settings familiar to them: Harry Potter, or wild animals. Sessions were probably ninety minutes.
There is a book: "role-playing with kids" by Sandy Antunes, Mike Holmes and Sam Chupp from Technomancer Press. I didn't agree with all of it, but it was a good read.
Good luck!
