    is rec.games.frp an actual newsgroup? Or was it? I just found it accessible on google groups, but I don't remember ever having seen it on any other newsserver, and the last message there is from 2004.

    r.g.frp was the original single group where all RPG material of all sorts was discussed. In the 1990s it was split into r.g.f.dnd,
    r.g.f.misc, and so on. It's supposed to be a dead group now.

    Is rec.games.frp an actual newsgroup or just an artifact? I see it on Google Groups, but I don't think I saw it on my normal newsserver. From what I see the last posts are from 2004.

    You posted something on the ninth and got several responses. I don't understand this last post. It's slow here, even for usenet but there have been lots of messages since 2004.

    I posted on rec.games.frp.misc .cyber, and .dnd, but I am speaking about rec.games.frp as can be found in Google Groups like this: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/rec.games.frp

    I just wanted to know if this is or ever was an actual group.

    Rec.games.frp was the original RPG group. It was split up into rec.games.frp.* (dnd, misc, etc.) so it is technically a dead group now
    as all traffic is supposed to go to the subgroups.
