If you'd like to contribute to a sourdough group that doesn't tolerate SPAM, we have an online group that works a lot like email dedicated to sourdough bread making:
https://sourdough.groups.io/g/main
You are free to join if you wish. New members' messages are always moderated, so
if you post to the group and don't see your post immediately, that's why. Since it's a small group of around 90 members, with only 2 moderators, it may take a day for your message to be moderated and sent to the group, so please be patient
and don't keep trying to post the same thing. We'll get to you.
Once you're considered safe, we'll put you on the group moderation setting which
means your posts will show up as soon as possible, usually within a few minutes.
If you were a member of the Yahoo sourdough group before Yahoo killed Groups, I have moved all of the messages in the group's archive over to a subgroup in this
group, so you can search back over many years of posts in the subgroup. You have
to be a member in the main group before you can join the subgroup.
A word of warning here. We're not a very active group at this point. It was more
active when it was on Yahoo. That can change if we get more members, especially members who like to discuss sourdough baking, ask questions, answer questions, etc. In any case, if we don't have a lot of posts, it won't clog your inbox. If we end up becoming more active, you can switch to the daily digest of posts, or do like I did and set up a folder in your email program and set a filter to divert all sourdough posts to that folder instead of your inbox.
I hope to see you there. I don't personally bake much anymore because I am now a
diabetic, but I plan to make some bread in the near future.
