• Keeping Notes is Good

Cucumbers aren't there in numbers yet, but they are covered in
flowers. So I am eager to re-do the dill relish that I made several
years ago. It hasn't been repeated because of bad cucumber years.
(Mainly me not thinning and then everything going to Fresno.)

So, I was trying -- repeatedly -- to figure out which recipe I used.
I only had 2.5 books back then -- BBB, Complete Guide to Home
Canning, and the recipe useless book that came with my canner. And
none matched my memories. BBB was closest, but not the dill recipe.
And that had onion and no garlic, while my memory was the opposite.
    (Wife is allergic to onion.)

Lather, rinse, repeat -- same result. Very frustrating.

Then I checked the section of my computer(s) with stuff about my
various hobbies, and I found a forgotten "canning" section.

It turns out that I'd used a recipe from UGa[*] that was not in the
USDA book. They have a lot of overlap, and I somehow got it in my
head that they were the same.

    Bring on the Cucumbers!
