Using large 2 10" round flour tortillas. Oaxaca cheese along with some crumbled pepperjack. Cooked on the stovetop in a skillet with a bit of
hot butter until the cheese is starting to melt and one side of the
tortilla is lightly browned. Turn using a wide spatula and cook until
the other side is lightly browned and the cheese is nicely melted.
Remove the skillet from the heat. Remove the quesadilla to a board, let
it set a minute then cut it into triangles (kind of like slicing a small round pizza).
If you feel like adding salsa or pico or other sauces, feel free.

While the current iteration of the American Left and the Democrat Party
does not have a military uniform fetish or goose step up Pennsylvania
Avenue, they are little different than the Nazi Party of 1927-1934 in
their pursuit of one-party control of Germany...
There is no tactic out-of-bounds, no limit to the lives to be
sacrificed, no constraint on lawlessness, no acknowledgment of the rule
of law, no deference to a written Constitution, and no respect for the dignity of mankind -- just a raw unbridled determination to seize power

This is a food related group. We do go off topic at times but still
maintain overall focus. No one has ever changed the political slant of anyone so posting that stuff just interferes.
If you want public education here, let's discuss the best way to cook broccoli and roasting vs steaming cauliflower.

Quite a few here use bread crumbs soaked in milk. I generally put

I think I'll do that this week - but not as a loaf. I'll use my silicone muffin pans, and make enough to freeze for later.
I use barley in mine (I'm allergic to oats), mushrooms, onions,
tomatoes, celery.
And no ketchup.
I may add some pulverised ceci/garbanzos, too.

I prefer roasted cauliflower over roasted broccoli. I recently bought a nice head of cauliflower and after removing the thick green stems at the base, sliced it into about 3/4-inch thick "steaks" rather than cutting
it into florets. Brushed each with olive oil combined with fresh lemon juice, minced garlic, red pepper flakes and S&P. Roasted it the oven at 400F on a lined baking sheet, turning each cauliflower "steak" after
about 15 minutes and brushing again with the mixture on the other side. Lightly browned, tender and delicious! I'd prepare it this way again.

With it, baked potato, mushrooms and onions. I've mentioned before, the mushrooms like my grandmother made. When done cooking, stir in a glob

Put a good dent in a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon too.

There are so many variations on meatloaf, decided to go to THE source
for accurate food information, ideas and technique. https://www.seriouseats.com/the-food-lab-all-american-meatloaf-excerpt-recipe
Best takeaways from the article -
"now for a few ingredients to up the meaty backbone of the loaf,
namely deploying my trusty umami bombs: anchovies, Marmite, and soy
sauce. All three of these ingredients are rich in glutamates and
inosinates"
"Mixing this flavor base into my meat produced a mixture wetter than
any other meatloaf mix I'd seen. This led to a moister end product
(that retained moisture with the help of the gelatin), but it proved problematic when shaping the loaf. I could bake it in a loaf pan, but
I prefer making free form loaves on a baking sheet to maximize
surface area for flavorful browning or glazing. The solution was to
use a hybrid method. I packed my meatloaf mix into a loaf pan,
covered it with foil, and then inverted the whole thing onto a rimmed
baking sheet, spreading out the foil so that I now had a foil-lined
baking sheet with an inverted meatloaf and loaf pan on top of it. I
baked this way for about half an hour - just long enough to set its
shape - and then used a spatula and kitchen towels to lift off the
pan. The result was a perfectly loaf-shaped meatloaf (just right for
slicing into sandwiches), with all the advantages of a free-form loaf
and its extra surface area."

I don't make meatloaf frequently and never would thought of putting
anchovies and Marmite in meatloaf. Have tried to make a free form
meatloaf several times and went back to baking in a pan. Next time I'll
do the partial bake in a pan technique. Might even try it with a
sillycone muffin pan - portion control and lots of crusty surface area.

I prefer roasted cauliflower over roasted broccoli. I recently bought a
nice head of cauliflower and after removing the thick green stems at the
base, sliced it into about 3/4-inch thick "steaks" rather than cutting it
into florets. Brushed each with olive oil combined with fresh lemon
juice, minced garlic, red pepper flakes and S&P. Roasted it the oven at
400F on a lined baking sheet, turning each cauliflower "steak" after
about 15 minutes and brushing again with the mixture on the other side.
Lightly browned, tender and delicious! I'd prepare it this way again.
Jill
Seems broccoli is a little touch if the stalk is thick. Been a while since
I had cauliflower but roasted is very good. Your method sounds good.

not a regular thing. I use a combination of lean ground beef and
ground pork, and oatmeal rather than breadcrumbs. No ketchup slathered >>> on the top, either.
I think I'll do that this week - but not as a loaf. I'll use my silicone
muffin pans, and make enough to freeze for later.
I use barley in mine (I'm allergic to oats), mushrooms, onions, tomatoes,
celery.
And no ketchup.
I may add some pulverised ceci/garbanzos, too.
I was looking at my silicone muffin pans the other day and thinking why haven't I used them to make mini-meatloafs for the freezer? I do use quick cooking oats as part of the binder rather than bread crumbs.

Add enough breadcrumbs or other starches, and you can make any meatloaf
that you create, out of any loose meat, into a sculpture before baking,
if you want to. I've not tried it, but flour would probably do as a
starch.
I'm old fashioned. I use a loaf pan but that's just because that's what I always do. Old dog, new tricks, long past innovation.
Meatloaf is a method, not a recipe, and kind of like Pastorio's "cream of anything" soup.

What does that have to do with dinner tonight? Why to >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> you keep injecting political stuff into a food post? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Usually to answer your crap.
I pledge to not post anything political in this group. >>>>>>>>>>>>> Will you join me?
This is a food related group. We do go off topic at times but >>>>>>>>>>> still maintain overall focus. No one has ever changed the >>>>>>>>>>> political slant of anyone so posting that stuff just

If you want public education here, let's discuss the best way >>>>>>>>>>> to cook broccoli and roasting vs steaming cauliflower.
Quit the lecturing and hectoring, Ed - you come off sounding like >>>>>>>>>> a nag such as Jill...
Ed has spoken, doesn't that mean it is our duty to obey? ;)
Nope, I'm just another contributor. Sometimes I am opinionated but >>>>>>>> have pledged to avoid politics. I'm trying to set a good example. >>>>>>>
No, but you encourage the trolls. 'D' is the latest one.
Jill
With all due respect, this is your majesty's fault entirely. Your
highness should have banned all these goddamn bastards long ago.
Jill has spoken, isn't it our duty to obey? ;)
We apoligise for Jill - not *all* American women are like her...
By god I hope not! That would be the end of america. ;)
It's *already* happened in UK - look at "Janet UK" who posts here, lol...
I think that Shakespeare would refer to her as a "fishwife"...
[ I will admit that I'm a huge admirer of Mrs. Thatcher... ]

Jill, we have had this conversation before. You do not run my killfile
and I think you over use yours.
Your idea of Jill's killfile (and it's use) is almost
certainly ill-informed, based on the many lying slurs
about her posted by the trolls you befriend and encourage.
