Small birds don't always need to be pluck. I have hunted partridge and
they are a snap to clean. Stand on the wings and pull the back legs and
    the breast meat pops out.

    A kookaburra?

I was reminded of an incident many years ago when I took my son and his
friend to the beach. He had a nice picnic lunch but while we were there
a bunch of young guys showed up at the next spot and started drinking
and getting rowdy, cranked the music up and were doing a lot of cussing.
I went over and asked them to keep it down because of the kids. They
spurned that idea so I figured it was time to leave.

We had some leftover sandwiches and potato chips. Just as we were
about to leave I went towards their site and tossed the food.... a
little at first to attract the gulls. The gulls were quick to get the
word out so as we were leaving and passing their site I tossed out the
rest of the food. I was amazed at the number of gulls that swooped in
for treats. It was the best revenge ever.

good idea.  Do they have crests?  They almost look like cockatoos

    Jill
    They are cockatoos: https://www.bing.com/search?q=galah&form=MSNSB1&refig=0dc78843c2d9439f9fd9c151190d73ab&mkt=en-ca

They are always amusing to watch. In fact a mild form of derision
is to call someone a silly galah.
The street was a very quiet, very short cul-de-sac.

    Yes! They can be vicious.

    Here are some "Galahs"
    https://postimg.cc/7f69gvLr

    They are usually in flocks.

Former president Donald Trump’s wealth is soaring to new heights ahead of the Wall Street debut of his social-media venture...

Trump’s net worth spiked to an estimated $6.4 billion the day before Trump Media & Technology Group is set to debut on the Nasdaq stock exchange under the “DJT” stock ticker, according to Bloomberg. An SEC filing disclosed on Monday indicates TMTG
will replace Digital World Acquisition Corp. on the Nasdaq after the two entities completed a $300 million merger. Digital World is an SPAC corporation, a public company designed to acquire or merge with another company....

Trump owns a significant amount of equity in the venture, and his shares are officially in his possession now that the merger is finalized. His estimated 60 percent stake is valued at roughly $3 billion, and TMTG is valued at around $5 billion, according
to the Wall Street Journal. Truth Social, Trump’s social-media platform, is operated by the company. Shares of Digital World jumped by 35 percent on Monday from its previous closing price...

Trump will likely allow him to post the $175 million bond for his New York civil-fraud case handed down on Monday by an appeals court. The $175 million figure is a sharp reduction of the original $464 million bond needed to cover the entirety of the
    fraud judgment against him.

Trump said on Monday that he would be able to post the bond before the conclusion of the 10-day extension he was given...

Now that Trump is rich again, it’s only a matter of time before the Left launches a horde of new paralegal suits against him. They are obviously enraged that he is still alive, standing, outspoken, ambitious and perhaps next in line for the White House.
    That will never do...!!!

    😀

We get more noise here from frogs and cicadas. Kookaburras too, but
    they're a bit further away.
