This is the one I look forward to every year at our local chain
grocery store .
Today I got 4 pork butts (2 sliced into 1" steaks) , 20 pounds of
chicken breasts (sl/bl , the big fat ones , not the thin saw-cut stuff)
, 5/1.5 lb packages of sliced premium ham and half a ribeye strip cut
into 3/4" steaks . I've had to stagger storing it all to keep from
overloading the freezers ... about 15 pounds of butt steaks are all
that's left to freeze , I'll get them packaged and in the freezer in the morning . All for $180 and change - 3 years ago this would have cost
about $120 ... those ribeyes were the smallest and most expensive item . Reserved for special occasions !
