    That would be horrid.

Never had it with cake, but a nice red wine goes well with good chocolate.

I'd not try whiskey. One night we went out to dinner and had a bottle
of wine. After the main meal, we ordered a house specialty brownie type dessert. Still had some wine and drank some with the chocolate and it
was really good. A Merlot or zinfandel is good.

To me it clashes. Maybe whiskey's strong enough to stand up to the
    sweetness.

i've had chocolates with whiskey based fillings -
no problem to me. i always liked the whiskey sour
candies (which probably had no actual whiskey in
them) but i've not had one of those in 30 years or
    more.

when i was making chocolates on a regular basis i
was willing to try about anything but wines have
not usually really been things i've enjoyed (even

Yes, that sounds good. What's the alcohol that they tend to combine
with cherries in chocolate? That's nice too.

We had a horrible winter , following a very lean summer . The early
spring flow was good , they built and swarmed , but the heat and lack of
rain killed the spring flow early and they never stored enough to get
them through the winter . I fed them but they just didn't have the
numbers to make it . We lost 5 hives , only 2 remaining now . As long as
I have one hive with a laying queen I can recover - Mother Nature willing .

I use it wherever a normal person would use peanut butter, i.e.

It appears from the frequent mention of "Costco Pisto" he's discovered a product he loves. Nice. But I agree with you, peanut butter and

Why not give others a try? A lot of soft drink preference has to do with
what people are used to or how advertising has convinced people their
product is better. We have a prime example of that in the New Coke
fiasco where people were given blind taste tests and showed a distinct preference for one that was more like Pepsi. They rolled out New Coke
and people rejected it. Even though Pepsi's market share had been rising
and the tasters preferred the new Coke formula, they whined that they
    wanted their classic Coke.
