Husband’s Permission Required for Women’s Haircuts in Michigan

Now for yet another strange law regarding women’s autonomy. Women in
Michigan are prohibited from making significant changes to the length of
their hair without their husband’s permission. While this law may sound extremely antiquated to most, it’s said that it helps maintain familial harmony.

If Cindy gets a haircut without her husband's approval, can he sue

Well, for Pete's sake, don't tell him. I doubt I could succeed with a countersuit that he had hair when we married and doesn't now.

Men always have more rights, especially when these old laws

My ex-husband got very angry when I cut my hair (it was still long-ish, shoulder length). He actually called the shop and told them I hated the
cut and demanded they give him the money I paid for it. They basically
told him to get over himself. :)
