My Cross post filter usually catches them. It is no secret that cross
posting is a desperate call for attention for people who are compelled
to force their idiocy on the rest of us. They usually stick to a
relatively small number of groups like alt.homerepair, groups with
"jew" or Limbaugh in the name and a few others. Set a filter to weed out
those groups and you will catch most of them. They like to use the
shotgun approach by crossposting to at least a half dozen groups and the
end up with so many of the filtered groups you only need one or two of
them to give set the filter off. There is the occasional one that gets
through but the twits are likely to change before their next bomb run,
    so it's not worth updating.

They're all losers. Perhaps you can provide me with a list of groups
they cross-post to since I don't have them all memorized. :) I'm having
to rebuild my ES filters from scratch. I do know specific nasty
subjects to add to the filter but not all the groups they tend to
    cross-post to.

Usually 3, because that is the limit enforced by ES,
and someone almost fooled might instead post a warning
to all that cross-posting had been thwarted.

Instead of an absolute filter, I mark them with a
different colour so they show up blue along with
illegal subject words (meth, viagra, &v) as well
as known trolls and loons. (GM, the Bruces, &c)
