Heading out for dinner tonight or having delivery or will you be
rattling the pots and pans in your kitchen?

It's going to be leftovers here and enough leftovers for Sunday,
most likely. But late last night I unwrapped a block of cream
cheese and plopped it into a covered bowl to soften. This morning
I boiled a dozen eggs and a little while ago made egg salad to share
with two neighbors tomorrow. The dish is very good freshly made, but
like potato salad and cold slaw, it benefits greatly with an overnight
chill to meld all the flavors.

While peeling eggs and chopping them in the food processor I was also
lightly sauteing about 10-12 ounces of ham I had chopped. Then I
sweated about a heaping ½ cup of chopped onions. These will be used
Sunday morning for a shredded hashbrown casserole that I will also be
    sharing with a neighbor.

I have had no appetite this week and my wife did all the cooking while
I was ailing. Since she now has the Wuhan flu we are switching rolls. We usually do a vegetarian pizza on Saturdays and that is what she is
asking for. I made the dough earlier today. In a few minutes I will go
    down and get it going.

OT.... we are binge watching a Danish TV series, Seaside Hotel. It is
set in a remote beach resort and it is about the staff and guests. Unfortunately, it is in Danish so you have to follow the subtitles

I put the subtitles on for some American shows as the actor's diction
    is often appalling.

I made a bunch of pasta sauce last weekend for the freezer, heating a container of
that, with some penne and garlic bread...

Some rainbow sherbet for dessert later, had a big salad earlier today for lunch...

I had a hunk of holiday ham leftover in the freezer, so I'm making ham salad for sammiches with
that, too... pickle relish, celery, red onion, mayo...

Leftover these, sliced into individual bones and lovingly painted with
Bullseye bbq sauce along with some P.F. Chang's teriyaki-broccoli that I
can just chuck in the microwave.
And I got a whole lot of pork broth for next posole time!

Lunch was a salad with leftover grilled salmon on it. Dinner
will be scrambled eggs and toast.

Maybe the actor's playing a character with appalling diction.

    Nice you share with neighbors.

I had the rest of my dinner at my daughter's last night. We had Italian
hogies and I brought half home.
Hogie is Pennsylvania centric. Sub sandwich, grinder depending on your
    region.

None of the above. Cooked over fallen pecan branches 2
minutes a side. 130F final temp after resting.

Plate, fork, knife (and an unused Walmart plastic bag to
roll the potatoes around in oil, salt, and mixed pepper).

I did not share this with the neighbors.

If you're not just bashing American "accents"...

Most TV's now have sound settings that allow you to
"enhance" (or rather "make normal") speaking dialog. Because
the default settings are set for obnoxiously loud movie
sound effects, music, and/or gaming and muddle actual
    voices.

From all the English accents, I have the least often problems
    understanding American accents.

As a generic for "sandwich in a long bun", we use "sub".
Hoagies are always cheese steaks here. And vice versa.
