I stepped outside this morning as I thought for sure I heard the mail
truck pull off and checked my mailbox (no mail). As I turned to go
back into the house I saw a LARGE pile of items next door laying on
the sidewalk in front of the new Airbnb. No idea where all that stuff
    came from.

About 30 minutes later I see two police cars and two officers standing
in front of my house. They were there to make sure the overdue in
checking out 'guests' were leaving and leaving with their items only.
It appears they were refusing to leave and had intentions of squatting,
but the po-po took care of that problem. It took three vehicles to remove the items and they had tried to make off with some of the furniture and
the bedding items. These 'guests' were rather skanky looking but they'll have to try to trick somewhere else. The owner of Airbnb lives in the
back of newly remodeled duplex and he was rather mortified this
    happened.

Just say "no thanks" to running an Airbnb or VRBO. I can imagine
lowlifes renting for cheap short-term and then trying to make off with
the furniture and whatever things might be worth something.
