For the past four years I have been the sole petitioner for the
Texas Parks and Wildlife to stock my neighborhood lake/reservoir
with trout during the fall-winter season.
This year I was victorious and I got 2,100 in one installment 6
weeks ago (this is piddly for our volume of water).
I really just did this to be difficult. Some neighbors seem to
have appreciated it, while others have cursed me from the start
(which made me even more resolute).
So this worked out perfect! I get to piss off and appease others
at the same time <ahhh!>
Except I really hate to fish <yawn>.
I've caught plenty of trout elsewhere in the U.S. but given them
all away or thrown them to my cat, whole/ungutted and still
flopping around after a long drunken day. Never cleaned a fish in
my life until 2 weeks ago.
Taken with trout power-bait and they don't taste muddy at all (as
they usually do with fishery trout).

How many of you have lobbied to stock your lake or stream with
fish you don't even like just to see if you could do it and piss
all the neighbors?
<bowing>
That's Cheetos Mac & Cheese to which I added bacon, in case you
were wondering about the color. I added Sargento extra-sharp
cheddar for Alex and my home made sodium citrate. And I had to
use water since I don't do milk (unless it's in cheese).
FWIW: Trout don't survive in Texas but a few months. Weird, eh?
It seems silly they offer to stock lakes like this.
