Normally, I'd go to the 'local' Lincoln dealership for service but dang, that's a forty-mile round trip. As my car is no longer in warranty, I
don't qualify for a loaner. There's a h.u.g.e. Ford dealership on my side
of town and it's just eleven miles down the road and I tried more than
once to make an appointment for service. Each time I got to the
calendar to pick out a date and time I was thwarted by "No Available
    Dates." GRRRRRRRRR 😖

When all else fails, call, and ask about scheduling a service date. Well, well, well, they don't make appointments; it's first come, first served. Sometime next week I'll be up before the chickens to get there so
hopefully, I won't have to wait all day. But I am going to ask why they
have the option to schedule service but yet it's a no-go?

Typical big city car dealers. I used to work at a ford dealer
service dept in a small town in the 60's. In many ways, it was
    good, but still not perfect.

We never shit on customers like the big "dealers", but
sometimes it took longer to get parts, and technical bulletins
and consults from ford. Most customers accepted this and were
happy. But that was half a century ago, and things were very
    different in those old days.

All I can do is offer my sympathies for your car maintenance problems
and send best wishes your way.

Many people have had problems with car service. It has been worse since
covid, but don't expect a big change. No one want to work on cars.
Instead, they go to college and take courses in Interpretive Dance and
    end up working at Starbucks.

There’s an Auto Technician Shortage. Expect Higher Car Repair Costs
The U.S. needs over 100,000 new auto technicians per year to keep up
with demand and to avoid a shortfall that could contribute to rising car
    repair costs

Uh, that sounds like a place not to patronize. But enjoy the cockle-doodle-dooze - Sucker!
