    Sure seem simple enough. Even not to the crispy state, they would still

    It would save a lot of time if one were making French onion soup if these were not allowed to cool completely and turn crispy.

    currently Mom is using the microwave to do onions
    and celery for soups and stews so she doesn't have to
    deal with cooking them in the pot. she says it saves
    time. i'm ambivalent. if i'm not making it myself
    then i really don't care how it is made as long as it
    tastes ok.
