We're happy to announce that CVS/pharmacy is officially the first chain pharmacy in California to stock and sell the opiate overdose reversal drug naloxone without a prescription. This new program is a direct result of a reform bill co-sponsored by DPA
that was signed into law last year.
Expanding access to naloxone is vital to reducing the number of overdose deaths, and making it available without a prescription will help save so many lives. Over 44,000 people die of accidental drug overdose every year in the United States and the
