I have never used a Rowenta but I have used a Passap Top Jet Vario and several professional irons. The main differnce is that the professional
irons have a heavy duty element. They are designed to be left on and used over 8 hours a day. Also, professional irons are able to produce high
volumes of steam at lower temperatures. It is the steam that makes the difference in your pressing. With the lower temperature and high steam
you can press wool without shining and flaten seams and edges in delecate fabrics such as silk and rayon. Once you have used a good iron you can't
go back. After sewing with one at work I had to buy one for home.

I know this is an old post - but If Matt or anyone else has a manual for a Passap TopJet Vario steamer (1994) I would be interested in conversation. I got the steamer from my sisters estate and it needs cleaning and/or fuse as no steam. Internet doesn'
t seem to have any information.

    THANKS
