Bush never meant a single thing he said.

Yea, he did. But making it REAL is always the
    difficult part.

Bin-Laden escaped Tora Bora by his own wits
and skills. He was NOT a minor enemy, VERY
smart and organized. If Hitler had been that
wiley the National Anthem would be something
    by Wagner world-wide by now.

There were TWO horrible mistakes made. The
first was Iraq, the "well, while we're THERE"
war. This dissipated our focus. The second
was the illusion of "nation building" in a
    place like Afghanistan.

Afghanistan was ALWAYS one step away from a
Taliban/al-Queda return. Our "western" view w
barely penetrated even after 20 years. This
has been the common experience in that country
since at least Alexander. They're Hard-Asses
amongst the Hard-Asses. Either literally nuke
the entire place or leave them alone.

The Chinese WANT what's in those Afghani hills ...
they MAY nuke 'em all in order to get it. Nobody,
    especially Joe, will dare complain.

Meanwhile, IF we have any remaining loyal intelligence
sources (not likely) we can still take out the odd
al-Qaeda/ISIS training base. But I don't think Joe
even has the balls for that. In five years there
will be new 9-11s in the USA and elsewhere. SOME
of that will be with our OWN weapons ... we left
enough shit there to make Afghanistan maybe the
best-armed country in the whole region and the
Chinese are going to bankroll them.

Won't work anymore. They have too many layers of lies
and deceit, "image" after "image" and too many busy
little helpers in the 'news'/reality industry. You'd
never even KNOW if you struck Truth.

I'm reminded of the JFK Konspiracy eqivalent - there
are SO many sure-enough theories out there that you'd
NEVER know if somebody told you the straight-up Truth.

It's just surreal now. I don't think that can stand up
for very long though, Truth is NECESSARY to make plans,

The SCARY bit is that V thought this up in the
late 50s ... must have been smokin' some mighty
    funky weed or something.

If he was, he got it from Illinois. Pretty weak crap, herbicide
contaminated sometimes. The feds owned farms and grew hemp all
over the midwest back then for ropes. Trains would haul the
stuff to barges along the Mississippi River for transport.
Seeds fell out and grew like mad choking out everything else.

After the US Govt. got out of the hemp market, they sold the
farms and made the railroads responsible for controlling all the
wild hemp growth along the railroad tracks towards St. Louis, MO.

Special trains with herbicides would go down the tracks on the
weekends and spray everything along the tracks. It would all
wither and turn brown in a few days. On the down side it blew
into fields of crops and killed big patches there too. The
remaining harvest could not be fed to livestock or sold for
human consumption. Farmers were flaming mad, even shooting at
    the trains.

Going back to the drawing board, they equipped the train with
flamethrowers and incinerated everything 15-20 feet out. Nobody
considered that it would set bean, corn and wheat fields on
    fire, so another mess.

The solution was to put a flat car between the flame thrower and
a bunch of old oil tankers after it filled with water. As the
train rolled along, they would torch the hemp and anything else
growing there, then spray it all down with water.

Trivia, Samuel H. McCrory was the first US Hemp Czar.
