• Sheet Metal for Use in Making Segmented Pens

From Alan Holbrook@21:1/5 to All on Thu Feb 17 03:12:02 2022
I'd like to get into making segmented pens, and I've seen some examples on- line made with thin sheets of metal, usually aluminum, sandwiched in
between pieces of acrylics. But when I sent my research assistant, Dr.
Google, off to find a source of such metal, he came up empty. Can anyone
point me to a source for this stuff? TIA...

First off, noone can help if they don't know where you are.

Well, Stuart, it's been my usual experience that when you order on-line,
you tell the organization you're ordering from where you are. Unless it
works differently on whatever planet you're from...?

You did not specify you wanted an online source, even then it makes a difference depending in what country you happen to be in.

Personally, I go along to a metal stockholder near where I live and buy
    what I need.

er, aluminum foil? Your local big box store? Your local small hardware
store? Aluminum cans? Your recycling bins?

You can also order small quantities of metal sheets from Amazon and/or
    eBay.
