• My Dan Osman Rope Failure Analysis

I know this is 16 years later, but this man's life has extinguished and it's nice to know what the resolution of what happened to him is. He was a legend. It is a shame that he is gone . It was an exciting maneuver that he did and the thrill that is
generated . He was way ahead of his time. My friend is a climber and he mentioned that the prusik knot is what may have linked him to the rope in question. But that the prusik would have failed because of the heat generated during the fall. And of
course this knot was attached to his harness via the carabiner.

I think it is time I spoke up publicly. I have reviewed Dano's rope in
some detail. My findings and theory support those published by Kevin
Worrall in Climbing (No 183, March 1999, Pg 90).

Your analysis comes off as non-biased, accurate and very honest. It is the most logical explanation. Thank you.

They forced me to tell them who sent me the
rope and they pressed charges against this individual (I will have to live with the fact that I was unable to keep this information confidential).

What ever happened to the guy that sent the rope to BD?
