I read Jon Krakauer's excellent book about the failed Everst climb, "Into thinThey hate him
Air"....in reading some reviews of the book, I found some people talking about
how this book was one sided, and not completely truthful. Could anyone give me
some insight into these claims? Is this a big issue among you climber people?
(I myself climbed my rorof last Christmas to hang lights......an ascent of over
25 feet. That is the extent of my climbing) So I obviously have no experience
here.
So what is the deal.....is Krakauer hated in the climbing community? or is this book respected? What is the dirt here?
Thanks
