You know what they say about going after the king.
If Biden survives this, and there is no reason to think he won't,
Harris will be lucky to represent the US at funerals. They might even
start looking at her checkered past. They could "Agnew" her ass.
Then it really gets scary. The Dems might drag Hillary out of the
crypt and pull the stake out of her heart.

That's not the Harris Tim is referring to, although she, no doubt
is hopeful that she will be queen for a day. Thats about how long
she will survive under the scrutiny of princess Pelosi.

I doubted it was the guy on Barney Miller. ;)

Did you read the Reuters article about Biden asking Ghani to "change
the perspective" on how badly the war with the Taliban was going?

    This was on July 23rd.

It means that Biden was well aware that the Taliban was going to
take over ... well before he claims "it was unexpected".

He asked Ghani to put a positive spin ... "whether it's true or not".

    Shades of Vietnam.

I think the ARVN were more motivated than the ASF. I bet there were
Security Force leaders who were already negotiating surrender before
we even pulled the combat troops.
I am amused about them showing pictures of the equipment at Kabul
Airport that they destroyed but no mention of the stuff at Bagram and
other places in the country that was left, tuned up and fueled before
we pulled back to the airport.
We know they have at least one manned Blackhawk because they were
flying it around Kabul with some poor SOB hanging from an Epstein neck
    tie under it.

Ok. Seems it *wasn't* a "hanging". According to this
source, it was a guy tethered to the helicopter trying
to put a Taliban flag up on a building or something.

Amazing how much BS "news" we get.

In fact the stuff we left behind was scattered across bases all over Afghanistan and we had no way of getting to it to destroy in.

Greg, I think you are confusing two different weapons/equipment cache's.

The stuff that was at the airport during the "bug out" was the equipment
that was rendered useless. Some images of the helicopters and trucks
were shown this morning. They *are* worthless.

The bulk of the gear, including the 280 something Blackhawks and
vehicles that the Taliban "inherited" in working condition is the
gear that we supplied to the Afghan forces before they gave up the
fight. *That* equipment was not located at the airport and is mostly operational. There were videos shown recently of the armored trucks
and Humvees being driven in the streets along with the mentioned
    flying Blackhawk.

Ok. Seems it *wasn't* a "hanging". According to this
source, it was a guy tethered to the helicopter trying
to put a Taliban flag up on a building or something.

Amazing how much BS "news" we get.

    <https://news.yahoo.com/fact-check-video-shows-taliban-225028809.html>

The important fact was they had a Blackhawk flying the day we pulled
out so it wasn't "DeMilled" as the pentagon would have us believe.
In fact the stuff we left behind was scattered across bases all over
Afghanistan and we had no way of getting to it to destroy in.
Presumably we left enough people on the ground there and enough parts
to keep these things flying for years. The Security Force seems to be

I was simply pointing out how they are portraying it in the news. I

It was out of our control. The Taliban scooped it up within a week of
us withdrawing our combat troops and the assumption was the Security
Force would use it to fight the Taliban. They just made it a "welcome
    home" gift to them.

I don't know if that "hanging" is true or not.
At least one of the major media outlets looked
at zoomed images of that video and reported that
it looked like the guy was in a harness and was
    waving at people.

Ok. Seems it *wasn't* a "hanging". According to this
source, it was a guy tethered to the helicopter trying
to put a Taliban flag up on a building or something.

Amazing how much BS "news" we get.

    <https://news.yahoo.com/fact-check-video-shows-taliban-225028809.html>

The Security Force seems to be
    working for the Taliban now.

    <https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thehulltruth.com-vbulletin/647x443/screen_shot_2021_08_29_at_2_04_59_pm_029fd32304cb2c920b54e534298e2324a5cf34c6.png>
It does remind me of us saying Iran could never maintain the F-14s
Carter left there and they are still flying.

Greg, I think you are confusing two different weapons/equipment cache's.

The stuff that was at the airport during the "bug out" was the equipment
that was rendered useless. Some images of the helicopters and trucks
were shown this morning. They *are* worthless.

The bulk of the gear, including the 280 something Blackhawks and
vehicles that the Taliban "inherited" in working condition is the
gear that we supplied to the Afghan forces before they gave up the
fight. *That* equipment was not located at the airport and is mostly
operational. There were videos shown recently of the armored trucks
and Humvees being driven in the streets along with the mentioned
    flying Blackhawk.

I was simply pointing out how they are portraying it in the news. I
know people who think we destroyed all or at least most of it.

T know. It's because the "news" we get today is so full of errors
and biased with political leanings that we are kept like mushrooms,
in the dark and fed manure.

    <https://news.yahoo.com/fact-check-video-shows-taliban-225028809.html>

The Security Force seems to be
    working for the Taliban now.

    <https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thehulltruth.com-vbulletin/647x443/screen_shot_2021_08_29_at_2_04_59_pm_029fd32304cb2c920b54e534298e2324a5cf34c6.png>

The bulk of the gear, including the 280 something Blackhawks and
vehicles that the Taliban "inherited" in working condition is the
gear that we supplied to the Afghan forces before they gave up the
fight. *That* equipment was not located at the airport and is mostly >operational. There were videos shown recently of the armored trucks
and Humvees being driven in the streets along with the mentioned
    flying Blackhawk.

    Yup.

I don't know if that "hanging" is true or not.
At least one of the major media outlets looked
at zoomed images of that video and reported that
it looked like the guy was in a harness and was

Ok. Seems it *wasn't* a "hanging". According to this
source, it was a guy tethered to the helicopter trying
to put a Taliban flag up on a building or something.

Amazing how much BS "news" we get.

Unfortunately that is not how the story was spun. I still have people >>>telling me we destroyed it all and pointing to the Kabul pictures

I understand all of that. It is what I have been saying. I am just

Yeah, there's very little mention of the equipment left by the Afghan army.

The best we can hope for is that the Russians attack them again and
this time we just sit back and watch the show like the Russians have
been doing for the last 20 years.
Maybe the Taliban will get froggy and pick a fight with Pakistan and
    get nuked ;)

Either way screw them. When the rest of our people want out we can get
them out through Pakistan or something. The last I heard most of them
wanted to stay. (family and such).
If they really wanted to go they should have been working their way to
the door in the spring and summer when it was easy.

The story was pulled down so I just had to look at the obvious Harris.
I doubted it was the guy on Barney Miller.   ;)

I think the ARVN were more motivated than the ASF. I bet there were >>>>>>>> Security Force leaders who were already negotiating surrender before >>>>>>>> we even pulled the combat troops.

It does remind me of us saying Iran could never maintain the F-14s
Carter left there and they are still flying.

Greg, I think you are confusing two different weapons/equipment cache's. >>>>

    Yup.

    You're not stupid.

    Yes, you are...

    Spoofer!
