Whitewater kayaking is a LOT of fun! :-) I did it for 20 years, got to be a whitewater kayaking instructor even!

For years I did river trips in my 16ft Folbot and my friend's Grumman
canoe, mostly in TX, AR, OK, LA. But not much whitewater above level 2
since we had all of our camping gear, food, for several days, camping
along the river. Some beautiful rivers in this part of the country,
especially in AR. I would post some of the trips here and also on
PaddleWise. I certainly remember seeing you on this newsgroup, but not
too many people on here now, although Melissa appears occasionally,
whom I'll bet you remember. Think she is still canoeing some. I still
have the Folbot, but needs some repair now.

I wonder if the good folks on this here paddling group know certain
things that folks on the cooking group know. Hmmmm?

I don't think anyone on Rec.Food, Cooking knows anyway! And NO ONE ever reads it anyway!

As I used to say to people who berate Coleman Canoes "Hey it beats standing on the shore wishing!" :-)

I remember Scott being so excited getting his 007 back then and me thinking what a tiny boat that was. Now I see the stats (219L/58gal and 220cm long) and I think: "What a long "playboat" with so much volume!"... and despie all of that length and volume
I couldn't even get into the cockpit, as my heels, knees and behind got stuck before I could get below the cockpit rim! ;-P
