• Tacky Resin

We put several coats of resin on a basement bartop we are building. Some of the resin has cured and is hard and spots of it are tacky and sticky. The drying is going on three days. All the reviews say if the resin is tacky, it wasn't mixed properly. We
bought the resin kit and followed the direction precisely. It cured in patches, not in an area where only one batch was used. Is there a way to fix this that doesn't involved scrapping the resin off? I've spent almost $400 in resin and I hate to waste it.
One video showed the same problem and the solution was putting polyurethane over the tacky resin. Any suggestions?
