I don't know what this bird is.

To give you some idea of scale, the birdbath is smaller in diameter than
a dinner plate. The bird is roughly the size of a cardinal. :)
I know it's not a female goldfinch; much too large for that.
Any ideas?

I believe that your best candidate is a Yellow Warbler.

<https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Yellow_Warbler/id#>Thanks, but I don't think so. The beak is different, not pointy. More
like the beak of a cardinal but I know it's not a female cardinal.
There's a hint of green in the feathers but it's not a pine warbler, either. Those are much smaller and have more distinct markings on the wings. I've got those around, too. :)
I've never seen it before and may never see it again. It's migration season. Some birds just stop by on their way to points North. :)
Thanks for your help!
Jill
OK!
It looks to be a female Summer Tanager.

They like to hide in the trees , we have them here in the summer but they're seldom seen . You're very lucky to have gotten that shot . Right
now here we're seeing rose breasted grosbeaks , and today my wife saw a
blue grosbeak . I saw one of those I think it was 2 or 3 years ago .
