I think that I mentioned that I had what appears to be some funny insect bite on my stomach that seems to have happened in the process of trying to fix the flat last Thursday.
I didn't feel anything when it occurred but it has been getting worse to the point now where it is hitting 10 on the pain scale and I could not sleep last night without pain killers and laying just correctly.
At 8 am I'll go up to the Emergency Room since it will not doubt require X-rays, I can't ride like this so something has to be done and rapidly.

I wonder if it's shingles. I haven't had that (I've gotten
vaccinated, of course) but several friends have suffered
horribly. It starts as a weird rash and gets very, very
painful.

Yes, excruciating.
But due to post-AIDS research we now have very effective

By the way - it is shingles that I have. I suppose it's lucky I have it in a more or less harmless location if you could call this sort of pain harmless. I'm developing a theory that Sciatica may actually be otherwise symptomless Shingles. The levelsof pain appear to be the same and they both go away eventually untreated.

An education does not fix stupidity...
It’s hard to wrap your mind around: The social justice warriors on
college campuses around America have come out in support of terrorists
who last weekend raped and murdered and beheaded innocent people
(including children, women and the elderly) in Israel.
These are the same students who need safe spaces from those who may
talk about race or gender in a way they find offensive, or who will
shout down and demand the cancellation of speakers with whom they
disagree.

An education does not offet personality problems, either.
A person with overt (grandiose) narcissism might:
draw attention to their abilities by talking up accomplishments
frequently share how much others appreciate them
request special treatment
react with angry outbursts when feeling dismissed or ignored
openly reject or treat others with contempt

Different virus group.
My daughter suffered shingles ten years ago and had no idea
what was causing the intense pain. She had relief in a day
or two.

I got shingles at an unusually early age, 30. My experience was not that bad: altho the pain and the whole concept were both more than a little scary, there was only one night or maybe two when the pain - which was mostly in my biceps and triceps - wasbad, and at no time was it excruciating, but was quite annoying for a couple weeks. And would not respond to aspirin or Tylenol or Advil. But did abate nicely after 3-4 beers. I remember being annoyed that it wasn't gone in no two weeks, but also
I got it a day after hiking the 12 mile trail on kauai back out in one day. Meh. The doc said you totally wore yourself out and your immune system was low. But I Dunno; it wasn't all-that- hard, just a long day, and so I can't help but wonder if it wasin the water in the swimming hole that you weren't supposed to enter if you have an open cut, as there is leptospirosis. But the doc said noop.
Good luck with that.
