    An unsatisfying Wednesdy ride.

I did a sprawlmart tour, but found little to look at. I'd gone to Big
R (It's RP something now; until I memorize the third name, I'm
reverting to what they were when they first moved in where the Walmart
moved out. My receipt still says "Stock+Field.)

I'd gone to Big R to get a key cut to replace one that I lost or
mislaid, buy some garden-stake style fence posts to shore up my
rotting raised herb bed, and buy some pickled quail eggs less zingy
than the jalapeño eggs I bought on my previous visit.

It appears that my cable lock is an antique; they had no suitable key
    blank.

I found fence posts, but not the ones I'd seen there on a previous
visit. I looked in both the farming and the gardening sections.

And they were sold out of quail eggs.

I did buy a one-yard tape measure to replace the one that was lost
with my bicycle key, and a jar of pickled okra. Like all commercial
pickled okra, the pods had been left on the vine too long. But I
don't think I'll bite into any splinters, unlike the pickled okra I
    gave up buying from Kroger.

Thence to McDonalds, because I was too hungry to go back to Sprawl One
to eat. I carelessly ordered french fries instead of apple slices,
they were out of tea, the boy didn't hear me when I said I wanted
buffalo dipping sauce, and their child-size hamburger contains only a
symbolic amount of un-identified sauce with minced something or the
other in it. (I'll go back to the chicken nuggets the next time I eat
at McDonald's.) The half-burger alone would have been sufficent, and
I wanted only half the fries, but I ate all of them. With no salt and
no sauce, they weren't very good. They would have been better if
fried in tallow instead of flavor-free vegetable oil.

Thence to Dollar Tree, where I saw some poster board that would do as
a substitute for Oaktag pattern paper, and it would have rolled up
without damage (like oaktag, unlike real poster board), but I passed
    it by.

This was the second time I've worn my long-sleeved jersey and my
heavier knickers (plus fours). The first time I wore a waffle-knit
T-shirt under the jersey; it was warmer than that today. I switched
to the sandals that don't fit unless I wear heavy socks, but I'm still
wearing my do-rag and my summer gloves.
