I was jogging through a forest when I was 12 years old, and I slipped over on the wet grass, down a short, dirty cliff (about 2-3 meters high) into a big mud pit. It was proper scary as I was immediately down to my highs and as I kicked to reposition
myself I sank deeper. Everything I did, I just sank deeper.
About 45 minutes later there were 3 older teens (about 18 years old) jogging by. I got their attention by crying out for help, and they luckily responded. One of them stayed to watch over me (to make sure I didn't drown), whilst the other went to find
towels/blanket for me (as it was freezing cold in the muck) and something suitable to rescue me with (a tree branch or something). I sank deeper still...
I had a tactic to try and survive for as long as possible - I tilted my head back and upturned my nose, so if I sank to the point my mouth was under, I could still breathe. However, I began to slip beneath the surface, and all one could see from out the
pit was my nose and my fringe!
Anyways, by the time the guys had returned, I had just sunk under. It was freezing cold and I held my breath for as long as possible.
They rescued me, but I panicked while under the mud and inhaled a load of muddy mess! (Which resulted in a few x-ray scans and some tetanus jabs). It was kinda embarrassing because they escorted me home and my nan was so surprised to see me COVERED in
    sticky brown mud...
Anyways, that was my experience, hope you enjoyed it :)
