Naviter PowerFlarm Dongle not Connecting to Navigator

It was working just great last year. Last winter in storage, the temperatures were regularly down to -30C for several days at a time, which may have compromised the chips.
The three tablets I tried inches away from the dongle could see it in the Android Bluetooth Settings, but only one tablet had Navigator attempting connection. It oscillated between "connecting" and "out of range".
Another pilot mentioned that he returned the dongle and recommended the LX Nav Bluetooth Module
