At 7:33, I noticed a severly cracked windshield. The owner needs to get that fixed soon.

I am always amazed to see how quickly these critters adopt our techniques: ridge flying, thermaling, dynamic soaring, etc. What will they copy next from us? ;-)

I seem to remember stories of glider pilots doing the same thing in front of trains crossing the Everglades, maybe just wishful pondering.

I had a Dragonfly surf my windshield for 4 blocks , he landed while I was stopped at a light . As the light changed green he took off and maintained a spot in my directly in my line of sight . At 30mph his wings stopped moving completely , he did a
skillful job of maintaining a stationary position. It was only a minute or two but very memorable!

I live in a mountainous area and when the wind blows, the ravens put on
a show. So much fun to watch!

Very common where there are large thunderstorms with hail. Replacing broken glass could be a semi weekly task. I remember business trips to Colorado and similar states, lots of broken glass.

Here is Tyler MacCready (son of Paul) demonstrating his "walkalong glider" doing basically what the raven was doing in front of the car.

No doubt about this. It is the reincarnation of any glider pilot that has gone ahead of us! Still putting distance in on a cross-country flight.

Same thing has been done indoor with models, which were cut from foam
sheet or microfilm covered balsa structures and had a conventional layout rather than being just a flying wing. In the photos I've seen the 'slope'
was provided by carrying a sheet of foam or ply rather than using a human
    bow wave.
