  • Different FAI events

    I wonder if many know of FAI events like this. Its a F2C WC team race event from 2014. How is it sailplane related....... checkout the aircraft in the background.

    I flew that event 50 years ago. Gave it up to fly full size gliders. It was a really complex event optimizing speed, fuel economy, flying skills and pit skills. Very hard to do well. Glider in background because the event was on an airport.

    Awesome. Did you fly in any Nationals, Team Trials or WC events in the 60's or 70's?

    Nationals all through my youth. Team trials inn FAI Team Race. Skipped a possible chance for worlds to concentrate on gliding. One of the great regrets of my life. It took 30 more years before I got to Worlds- in gliding.

    We do, but not close enough to smell each other's armpits.
