• Heat Resistant Mounting

From Roy B.@21:1/5 to All on Thu Jul 7 14:34:24 2022
I'm looking for a good way to mount light weight items (GPS antennas, MH O2 controllers, FlarmViews, laminated placards, etc.) in the cockpit in a way that is neat, clean & removable). Back East I would use stick-on Velcro but here in Arizona the
heat keeps the adhesive semi-liquid. Any ideas?

3M VHB (very high bond) double-sided tape. Good stuff, semi permanent mounting.

Agree: I sue various "strength" Velcro to get things mounted in such a way as to be firm, secure, yet moveable should that be needed. The is really strong, yet still removable if necessary.

I second the use of the Velcro brand "industrial" stuff. But even the regular stuff is good.

Shoe-goo available at any hardware store like Ace. Dries ever so flexible, but sticks like mad!
I use it right on top of stickie-back fabric like Velcro!

You want 3M Dual Lock. Be gentle installing and removing items attached with it.
