  • Cover photo on June Soaring magazine?

    What ship is shown on the cover of June Soaring magazine? The front cover note doesn’t say………….you can tell, I know, do you?

    No, not an LS-4
    The photo clearly shows a rudder counterbalance that extends forward 8 or 10 inches ahead of the hinge line. I believe there is only one manufacturer that does that and it isn’t Rolladin-Schneider!

    Schempp-Hirth logo at the bottom of the rudder.
    No flaps.
    I'd have to guess "Discus"?

    Yep, your right. I owned a Discus 1& 2 and couldn’t remember either one of them using that rudder, but the Duo Discus did and it didn’t have flaps.
