Since this is a question of general interest, I thought I would post it here rather than
sending a query directly to the Skysight team.
I'm in the southwest US where we have a very large TFR due to a wild fire in north central
New Mexico. For some reason I zoomed out to see the entire USA and find TFRs displayed at
our southern border with Mexico, Florida around Cape Canaveral, Georgia, Washington, DC,
etc. ...But NO TFRs are displayed anywhere that I can see in the forecast area that I
subscribe to.
Are the referenced TFRs which are displayed on the US map there because they're permanent
(oxymoron)? It would be very useful to have current TFRs in the forecast area displayed.

The FAA does not have any meaningful API for access to TFR data so we have to use a cobbled-together mess of solutions to extract and display them, which tends to break when the FAA changes anything. I have a new update coming imminently to fix the
Thanks Matthew! Displaying TFRs on my ClearNav II display requires that
I manually extract the descriptive data for the TFR, transfer that to a
USB drive along with the ClearNav update program, and then update the ClearNav, That is a time-consuming process and prone to error.

Can you use the Lynn Alley website?

Probably, but I'd still have to go through the update process. Unless
I'm wrong (which happened once decades ago when I thought I was wrong,
but was mistaken), I'd still have to go through the update process. I
don't know of a way to simply copy a text file to a folder on the ClearNav.
