During the past few years I visited two 1-26 national contest, one being in Texas and the other in Moriarty. That being said I had a great time meeting some wonderful ladies and gentlemen, who were some of the friendliest glider people that you would
ever hope to meet. I spoke with several of them and although I am a glass bird guy they welcomed me with open arms. Several of us spoke about one of my friends who was very active in the 1-26 world and flew many flight over and through the Everglades in
his 1-26, yes, Harry Senn was well known throughout that association.
Recently I was speaking with a 1-26 driver and made the comment that I would love to see the 1-26 group make a yearly spring outing in Florida. If I can assist in making that happen just let me know, Florida would be a great venue for a 1-26 contest,
