I've been using https://www.horizonhobby.com/product/interlink-dx-simulator-controller-with-usb-plug/SPMRFTX1.html It's Plug and play. Right stick for aileron and elevator. Left stick for spoilers. Auto rudder.

Quest 2 VR headset for visuals and head tracking. I like that it forces me to 'keep my head on a pivot'. Condor on screens trained me to keep a steady gaze forward even with head tracking.

I had to build a motion sickness tolerance very gradually. Motion sickness is of course not a problem with screens.

I would like to see Condor put more emphasis on See and Avoid. Maybe they could introduce AI boogies that would sneak up on me, trigger Flarm and fly aggressively. I worry that Condor trains people to be complacent about mid-air collisions.

I have not used the DG808 on Condor, but I'm told the propulsion system controls are too
rudimentary to use as a training aid to transition to a DG808. That's what I'm hoping for:
motorglider simulations good enough to learn the procedures for specific models of
    motorgliders.

Eric, it's just okay. The engine operates in an ideal manner and is fine for a basic feel of what it's like to self launch.
But with the engine out you don't feel the drag that in contributes (well then it always want to retract too quickly anyways and you can't stop it like you should be able to ). With gear out, spoilers out and prop out it's not even close to real feel.
The real one is way more stable too.. it doesn't bobble around like that. And so in general Condor2 DG808 doesn't exactly fly the same or feel the same.

It is better than any other flight sim as far as gliders are concerned and can help keep you current on rough skillset though.
    my 2 cents,
    Darren

Darren, If you'd like to email me with a full assessment of the Dg808 flying qualities, I will have it corrected in the next update.

You need to fly Condor 2 with VR headset. If you already have a Quest 2, then you're all set. If you fly it online with other folks in a racing task, then the PDA map shows the other pilots at whatever distance the task properties are set to. And each
pilot has a label you can see.
