• ASH-25 Share(s) Available - Southwest USA

    Friends:
Many of you know that I imported an ASH-25 (no motor) from South Africa last year. It has been my plan once the instrument panel upgrade was completed to offer one or two shares in it to others. It really is too much of a glider to own alone,
especially where I also have another glider to take care of. So, I am looking for an experienced partner or partners to acquire a share or two in this big 2-place glider.

Detailed information and photos are here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qFOyJdp3lDgKwDn2rD-a5iNNIZ99Q5B58rGahNfdaDY/edit?usp=sharing

I would prefer to have no more than three partners total. I also think it would be best if each of the partners also owned separate personal gliders (as I do) -so we would all view and use the '25 the same. I'm not interested in selling my share.

My investment in the ASH-25 is about $99,000 (acquisition, import/shipping, US paperwork & new instruments). I'm not trying to make money on it - just to get more owners involved so we can keep it in good shape. So, a 1/3 share would be $33K and a 1/2
share $49.5K. I'd consider short term financing for some part of the acquisition for the right person. The ship is in Arizona now but I am open to partners as far east as Moriarty NM and west to Southern California.

This is not a good glider for a newbie, because it's very big and heavy and does not maneuver quickly. It is nobody's "first glider." But, it climbs well and glides like nothing else you have ever flown and is a remarkable platform for teaching XC
soaring. I think that a good attitude and mature judgment are more important than any specific amount of hours of experience. So, if you are interested, let's talk about it. My contact information is contained in the link above.

    Nice looking ship!

If someone bought my Stemme, I'd be interested.

Thanks Dan. I expect it to be a while and I am not in any hurry.
