    Well, for those who remember that time, when the US invaded Iraq in 2003, losses
    in the military went DOWN for several months.

    Because the military confrontation with the Iraqi army caused fewer deaths than the accidents did stateside, with drunken or speed driving and such.

    It's not what the lefties like to publicize, but it's true.
    To me, the big learning is that the grass-root enlisted ranks are basically not-so-swift yahoos who need to be kept busy.
