Is there a chance that the US military’s power is falsely perceived, and
in reality is just like Russia? All bark and no bite.
I have long wished the US would be a bit less warlike. I am still
somewhat angry about WMD, because it undermined the trust that allied intelligence services put in the USA.

However, the United States has been waging distant,
technically-challenging war continuously for more than thirty years. I
remember Bush Sr. launching Desert Storm. When his son also invaded
Iraq, I thought there might be a glitch in the matrix. This isn’t just rolling your tanks over your border. It’s a whole different league.

Shock and awe. What Russia wanted Kyiv to feel.

The number of US and allied troops Killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, over
two decades, is less than Russia has lost this year. Not only that, but
the US continues to maintain potent force projection in Africa and the
Pacific. The War on Terror - as much as I hate it - is global and constant.

    Yo! Oleg!!
    No smoke, no tugboats.

One must admit - America is good at warfare. In comparison, Russia is
merely a potential suicide bomber with a nuclear vest and a deadman’s trigger.

I work at a major US defense contractor and I can tell you for sure that everything we build is top quality. It will perform as intended.

I think all my hellfire parts I cast and inspected probably got used up
by Iraq. My F-16 pedals are probably still in use.

And I believe that 100%. But that isn’t the entire issue. Those drone’s Russia is using/buying from Iran cost 20k to 50k from estimates I’ve
read. But those same articles also say it costs Ukraine over 100 million
to knock them down and they don’t get all of them. The Soviet Union beat
the better and advanced German army with a lot of cheap weapons. Much
like the Taliban did to the USA in Afghanistan.

The key is logistics. Hold what opinions you will about U.S. military
    hegemony, this is the key.
